I replaced a manager who could only keep his system up 72% of the time. In six months I had the system available more than 99%. I managed 20 programmer/analysts responsible for a business critical securities trading strategy system. Supervised development of Java/Websphere/Smalltalk DB applications for portfolio attribution and retrieval of securities data via web browser. Instituted BPM teaching staff to do root cause analysis and establish procedures to eliminate failure recurrences. I set up performance dashboard and increased system availability with no change in equipment or personnel.
