Project Description: A QR 20billion (US $ 5.5 billion) development, Msheireb is a planned complex in downtown Doha, Qatar when completed, will be the world’s largest collection of LEED certified buildings. The 31 hectares (76 Acres, 310,000square meters) Msheireb Downtown is mixed-use development will comprise more than 100 buildings, with a combination of commercial & residential properties, retail, cultural and entertainment areas.
All buildings within the development will target as average Gold rating under the internationally recognized LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification system developed by the US Green Building Council, while several buildings will aim for a Platinum rating. Project Phase 1B: Contract valued at QR2.37 billion ($650.7million) of which MEP works valued QR 530 million comprises 15 buildings, including the country’s first Mandarin Oriental Hotel consisting of 158 rooms and 91 serviced apartments, two office buildings with 52 retail units,12 residential buildings and a mosque providing a total of 180 apartments
