Responsible for all non-investment related functions of the firm thereby allowing the General Partner to focus solely on asset management. Specializing in maximizing after-tax returns for the fund and the Investment Manager. The assets under management peaked at approximately $500 million dollars. Areas of Responsibility:

Accounting & Tax:

Maintain parallel set of books and records with an independent third party administrator.

Provide all the necessary information for the audit and tax preparation for the fund’s accounting firms.

Prepare yearly and quarterly Financial Statements and investor tax allocations.

Analyze and execute trades for tax efficient portfolio-hedging and tax loss harvesting. Operations:

Primary contact for all areas of the firm’s relationship with prime brokers including negotiations of rates and fees.

Reduced Commissions and portfolio expenses.

Manage daily cash and activity reconciliations, including DTC breaks.

Implemented a real-time P&L system linked to Bloomberg.

Created custom portfolio and exposure reports.

Responsible for Stock-Loan operations.

Monitor and trade foreign currency to maintain proper exposure relating to foreign stocks.

Review and maintain ISDA agreements with counter-parties.

Maintain Soft-Dollar budgets and records.

Legal & Compliance:

Successfully guided the firm through registration with the SEC as an investment advisor.
