R ESPONSIBILITIES
Anticipate cash needs from the operations, take necessary actions to ensure liquidity through internal or external sources, in a secure and optimised manner
Manage daily treasury operations such as financing, investment, foreign currency risk identification and hedging management. Manage banks relationship
CASH MANAGEMENT
Build cash forecasts of the BU’s cash position and communicate to relevant parties Review cash needs against historical data & forecasts, and plan daily operational cash requirements for all BU locations
Negotiate and implement short term banks facilities (overdrafts, LCs) required to secure daily financing *
Reconcile month end closing treasury data to accounting figures and resolve any discrepancy with Accounting Department * Ensure correct documentation and filing of all financial transactions * Define in local treasury procedures the rules to ensure that petty cash is handled in a secure manner *
BANK RELATIONSHIP
Establish and maintain good professional relationships with authorized banks
Regularly review terms and conditions with banks through annual tendering *
Ensure optimal number of bank counter parties and accounts to maintain control over all transactions and optimise costs * Monitor service received against expectation and cost, and compare actual charges and conditions (interest, value dates, commissions, etc.) against negotiated ones *
