Consistently and independently follows established safety and infection control procedures.

Giving teaching to patient regarding Prenatal care, Diet Care Plan during pregnancy

Awareness about High Alert Medication

Functional Fall Risk Screening

Assisting all Ophthalmology procedure including laser




Key responsibilities

Update Staff knowledge by arranging teaching session.

Prepare and deliver performance appraisal for staff.

Orient new staff according to developed CBO (Competency based

Orientation) checklist.

Make monthly duty roaster for staff.

Make monthly report.

Maintain staff folder.

Conduct collaborative meeting with physician.

Liaison between Nurse Manager, Physician and Staff.

Involve in unit renovation and decision making.

Analyzed BVR monthly (Budget Variance Report).

Update inventory of capital equipment on monthly basis.

Handle patient complains and gave appropriate response and satisfy patients and families.

Assess critical patients and report long stay patients.

Maintain staff attendance & over time record.

Evaluate monthly census data and present in form of graph presentation.

Complete clinical indicators and goals and objectives of unit & incidence log quarterly and monthly basis.

Involve in staff recruitment and hiring.

Conduct Audits for self-unit and other to maintain quality patient care & patient satisfaction.

Timely evaluate the staff, give them feedback. Even involve in staff coaching, mentoring and counselling.

Meet regularly with patients and families to resolve the complaints and issues relating to nursing care.

Assign nursing staff according to assessment of patient care needs, nursing competency and staff’s development.

Monitors the indicators of the department for improving the patients waiting time, no-shows’ patients and shift-loss

Makes daily pre-operative and post-operative phone calls to patients, to know the patient’s confirmation for surgery, giving the instruction before procedure and know the patient’s condition after operation.

Ensure satisfaction of all admitted and discharges patients.

Establishes unit bases goals and objectives and priorities, monitor performance against the same.

Monitor and does follow ups of all incident report and disciplinary actions.

Maintain timely documentation and anecdotal records for use in summative and formative performance.

Demonstrate fair judgment with all nursing staffs.

Exhibit role model behaviour for all nursing professionals.

Ensure a 2-way open line of communication with unit staffs.
