Labor Foreman/Laborer
January 24th, 2020 - September 23rd, 2022
As a General Labor Foreman, my daily tasks began first thing in the early morning at 6 AM, when I would go up to the top of the building and walk down through the entire building to determine what floors would need priority cleaning first before any other floors. During this inspection, I would also look out for any visible safety hazards to ensure that both my crew and other trades could work in a safe worksite. I would check that all exits were accessible and clear of any type of work tools, supplies, or garbage, and make sure that all fire extinguishers were placed where they belonged. After my walkthrough, which would take about 30-45 minutes, I would meet my crew in the laborer shanty at approximately 6:45 AM to greet them and give them their daily assignments for the beginning of the day, as well as a quick safety talk to encourage safe work practices throughout the day. I typically managed a labor crew of between 10 and 15 laborers, but this number sometimes changed depending on the workload for the day or week. Throughout the day, I maintained contact with the general superintendent or other supervisors to see if there were any special assignments that needed to be taken care of that my laborers were experienced in and capable of completing to 100%. I myself would also assist with or complete any of the tasks that I am experienced in and capable of completing by myself or alongside a coworker. I also helped with deliveries for different trades throughout the day. Because I am experienced in driving a forklift, I was able to assist any trades with large deliveries that required a forklift driver to help unload their delivery. UBER and LYFT

Laborer And Fire Safety Manager
October 18th, 2014 - December 22nd, 2017
As a Laborer, my general daily tasks included sweeping and cleaning up all the garbage on the sidewalk and on the street in front of the construction site, as well as all the garbage in the stairways and hallways. I would sweep, clean, and empty out all the garbage pails in all the offices, conference rooms, and shanties. I would also make sure that all tools, work materials, and work equipment were organized throughout the entire floor. I operated the forklift to receive deliveries of all types of construction materials and equipment, and also to move materials and equipment around inside and outside of the construction site. I operated the hoist and/or the elevator to bring, distribute, and/or move materials and equipment to designated floors. I emptied all the garbage out of the mini metal dumpster containers and other loose types of garbage into the garbage truck. I delivered all types of construction materials and equipment to other construction job sites. I mixed and poured/laid concrete and cement using an electric concrete mixer or mixed by hand. I built and installed wood barricades with orange netting to ensure there were no fall hazards at the edge of every ledge of the construction site. I built wood tables, wood ramps, wood shelves, wood platforms, and work stations. I performed a whole bunch of miscellaneous tasks throughout the day/work week. I used various cleaning products and chemicals to clean the job site. I shoveled snow all around and inside the job site during the winter and also put ice melt all around and inside the job site.
