features:

Padma Bridge Rail Link Project is located in the middle-western part of Bangladesh. It’s another important corridor for passenger and freight transportation between east and west of Bangladesh. The total length of the new main line is 172.0 km approximately. The rail route starts from the existing Dhaka rail station, goes through Mawa, Padma Multipurpose Bridge and Bhanga and ends in Jessore. To faster delivery the project works our management projects divided in 3(three) parts 1. Dhaka – Mawa, 2. Mawa – Bhanga & 3. Bhanga – Jessore, I worked in Mawa – Bhanga most priority section. In Mawa-Bhanga, scope of work 26 KM railway embankment, 13 nos bridge, 6.5 km viaduct, 70 nos underpass/culverts. Components are embankment filling, cladding layer, construction of prefabricated vertical drain (PVD), Cement soil mixing pile(CMP), 13.3 Km ballastless Track through Padma Main Bridge and 29 Km ballasted track and 5 (five) modern railway station. Position held: Junior Earthwork Engineer.

Activities

performed:

Monitoring the all earthwork Embankment construction related work Clearing & Grubbing, Backfilling, Separator Geotextile laying, PVD Installation work, High Strength Geotextile laying work, Embankment filling, Subgrade work & Sub-ballast work for railway construction as per approved design drawing and construction method statement.

Ensure proper installation of geotechnical monitoring instruments such as (Inclinometer, Piezometer, Settlement Plate, and Settlement Pin).

Monitoring the PVD(Prefabricated Vertical Drain) work as per Drawing & Specification and also make sure the Quality Control of the work.

Working Experience about behind the Bridge & Culvert backfilling treatment work.

Inspecting the quality control work about the test like FDD, MDD, Sand blanket test, CBR, Permeability and EV-2 test.

Respond to Request for Inspection/Information (RFI) and Issue Work Instruction (WI) as required by the Resident Engineer. Review and approve GCC work Plans and Inspection & Testing (ITP).

Preparing & raising all the Embankment RFI, Checklist, Issue QSDR and maintain the RFI.

Taking proper reading of Geotechnical monitoring instrumentation such as Inclinometer, Piezometer, Settlement Plate & Settlement Pin. Plotting the same reading & prepared interpretation report based on the Geotechnical monitoring data.

Preparing daily, weakly & Monthly Progress Report of Project & submit to higher Authority.

Responsible for the all structural work such as Bridge & Viaduct Ballast-less track slab construction, Pile & Pile cap construction.

The Fazilpur - Muhriganj bridge is a single-Layer 5.5 m carriage way one lane upazila to union parishad road. Total 180 m bridge with 6 spans per 30 m, 5.5 m width, and 2 km approach road. This bridge is completely 5 piers, 2 abutments. 6 piles per Pier with dia 1.2m and length 54m. 9 piles per abutment with dia 1.0m and length 48m.

Activities performed:

Responsible for the geotechnical investigation works and tests such as SPT, CPT, DPT, resistivity test and Soil classification from field sample, perform all types of soil laboratory test. LL, PL, PI, mica content etc.

Responsible for Construction of cast in situ pile 1.2m & 1.0m dia & (48-54) m length, drilling by rotary drilling machine, borehole quality check by soniccallipers device, rebar cage installation, Concreting of bored pile & pile load test.

To monitor and inspection of Cable Tensioning Of PSC Girder (I-Shape) and Duct pipe Grouting.

To monitor and inspection of PSC Girder (I-shape) Staging, S.T Cable Profile Check, Casting, Girder Lifting and Shifting.
