Executive Director, Van de Kamp Innovation Center & Associate Vice President
Center Director for the new Van de Kamp Innovation Center. I provide administrative leadership for the construction and renovation of the site valued at over $82 million. I also lead the coordination and allocation of space for the various non-profit tenants to the Center. I also work with community-base organizations to develop college curriculum and vocational/certificate training courses to meet the needs of the community. As Center Director, I develop and manage all the Business Services functions (i.e., annual budget process, procurement, contracts, facilities, human resources, IT, accounting and finance, test and evaluation, commissioning and security, etc.).
As District Emergency Preparedness Manager, I created a comprehensive emergency preparedness and response plan for natural and man-made disasters such as earthquakes, floods, fires, civil unrest and acts of violence by individuals or groups for the colleges and district office that fully complies with the NIMS/SEMS/ICS. I also plan, coordinate, and conduct emergency preparedness training and simulations for district executives, administrators and district office personnel and support similar training at the campuses. Co-chair of Region 1 of the Disaster Resistant California Community College Task Force for emergency management and preparedness.
