Project Name : Power Quality Improvement Using Unified Power Flow

Controller (UPFC).

Environment : MATLAB Software

Project Description : The Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) is a typical FACTS device that is the most sophisticated and complex power electronic equipment and has emerged for the control and optimization of power flow and also to regulate the voltage in electrical power transmission system. This present project propose the real, reactive power and voltage control through a transmission line by placing UPFC at the sending end using MATLAB / SIMULINK. The control scheme has the fast dynamic response and hence is adequate for improving transient behavior of power system after transient conditions.

TECHNICAL SEMINAR:

Given a critical review oriented technical seminar on “Power Quality Improvement using unified power flow controller(UPFC)” in partial fulfillment for the award of the degree of Bachelor of technology in power electronics.

Given seminar as a technical topic on “Flexible Ac Transmission systems (FACTS) devices and Controllers” in college during Bachelor.

Actively participated in the MACHINES AND CONTROLARS (MAC) an organizer for a two days workshop on student feedback under the ANITS institute of engineering and technology, Student Chapter of EEE department.
