PROFESSIONEL EXPERIENCE
LENNOX NATIONAL ACCOUNTS, FT. LAUDERDALE, FL 2012 - Present
Safety Engineer for over 600 employees throughout the United States at over 90 branches. Manage all aspects of health & safety to assure full compliance with OSHA but also the health and well-being of every employee. The daily activities include the greatest risk known to OSHA, which include ladder usage, working from heights, and electricity. Write plans, policies, and work procedures for every aspect of working with HVAC service and manufacturer industry. Create monthly safety modules to ensure all required regulations were provided. Training included proper acknowledgement of understanding along with each employee verifying and demonstrating the knowledge of the content. Safety audits are conducted to ensure workers are performing all proper safety guidelines and to enhance the right attitude with each employee to complete the challenging tasks at hand. Investigate all incidents, including automobile crashes, to be thorough in the facts surrounding the events for root cause and liability. Each event are shared with the entire organization to create a lessons learned reference center. Manage all Worker’s Comp cases to completion to have the best interest for both the employees and the employer.
DELMONICO RESTORATIONS INC. ATLANTA, GA 2010 - 2011
Quality Assurance team leader for the United States Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) for the clean-up and emergency response for the tornados throughout Alabama. Supervised up to 50 contractors for the USACE in performing safety inspections and the running of various landfills throughout Sector 4. All inspections were to ensure work was compliant with the USACE EM 385-1-1 standards. Performed quality control training to ensure all load calls that were brought into each respective landfill followed emergency response protocol. Work was completed with no incidents while working 7 days a week and 12 hour days.
J2 ENGINEERING, INC. TAMPA, FL 2008 - 2010
Senior Environmental and Health & Safety Manager for an up and coming small business who performed contracts throughout the Country for various military installations. Projects included demolition, asbestos abatement, small construction, environmental testing and safety inspections. Responsible for the writing of the required Accidental Prevention Plans, site specific work plans and Health & Safety Plans for each project for Governmental approval. All Governmental projects are adhered to strict deadlines with various milestones that must be achieved to ensure the work will be completed on-time or ahead of schedule. Conducted monthly meeting with various Governmental officials to discuss the progress of each of the projects along with weekly on-site meetings with all subcontractors. All projects were completed in strict adherence to all OSHA standards along with the stricter EM-385-1-1 new recently edited version for construction safety.
EVANS ENVIRONMENTAL AND GEOSCIENCES, INC., TAMPA, FL 1999 – 2008
Environmental Health & Safety Manager of the company’s largest environmental client, CSX Transportation. We provide consulting service to CSX in the areas of Environmental, safety, hazardous material disposal, site assessments, demolition and small construction services. Responsibilities included in each phase are the writing and executing proposals, project management, writing reports, invoicing and on-site supervision. The annual revenue with CSX has increased year over year. Projects are located throughout the Eastern United States. Provide additional consulting services to the company during emergency catastrophic events. Health & Safety Building inspector for over 300 schools that were hit by multiple hurricanes in Florida.
MAXIM TECHNOLOGIES, INC. BUFFALO, NY 1994 – 1999
The day-to-day management of projects throughout New York State. Maxim has three offices located throughout New York State with multiple large commercial projects occurring at the same time. Responsibilities include proposals, contract management, project designs, environmental site assessments and scheduling to meet tight deadlines. Past projects sites have been manufacturing plants, schools, hospitals and industrial land development. A close relationship has been established with State and Federal agencies to ensure all applicable rules and regulations are followed. Well written reports and oral presentations are essential to clients understanding of any environmental impact study.
A&A CONSULTING SERVICES, INC., BINGHAMTON, NY 1986 – 1994
Directing and managing major environmental activities. Duties have included environmental site assessments, asbestos inspections, air monitoring and coordination of projects. Work performed has been both phase 1 & 2 site assessments; complete asbestos surveys and development of asbestos management plans for all type of facilities. These projects have led to risk assessments surveys, cost estimates for different remediation and project designs. Coordinated all correspondences for large school districts with the architects, engineers, construction managers and owners to complete the project on time and under budget.
