-Attended in-person family practitioner’s examinations with their patients throughout their day and documented each patient’s history, exam, and medical assessment.
-Transcribed these medical documents in real-time into the patient’s final medical record of their encounter during their visitation for submission to the physician.
-Processed orders during the patient’s encounter, notifying the clinic’s labs and diagnostic imaging department of tests or scans needed for the patient.

Student Research Assistant
-Became familiar with, and utilized a wide variety of molecular biology and biochemistry laboratory techniques including: Plasmid construction, Bacterial Transformation, Transposon-directed random mutagenesis, Western Blots and Protein Purification.
-The long-term goal of this research project was to determine how Type-III secretion system-based bacterial pathogens such as Pseudomonas, E. Coli, Chlamydia, and other common hospital-acquired infections attack their host, and if possible, to see if there is a way to prevent these diseases from spreading without resorting to antibiotics.
