I am a certified New York City/ New York State Special Education, Elementary
Education, and Early Childhood teacher with twenty-eight years of teaching experience. I specialize in differentiating and scaffolding instruction for students with different learning
needs, as well as getting results on the New York State ELA and Math Exams. During my
career, I have worked with the following special education populations: Learning
Disabled, Speech and Language Impaired, Autistic, Mentally Disabled, and Emotionally
Disturbed. I have worked with other teaching populations as well, including teaching General Education and ESL. I have a long lasting history of incorporating parents into their child’s education. I have mentored student teachers and modeled for my peers instructional teaching techniques that can be used in the classroom. I have taught teachers to utilize internet resources that support the Core Curriculum. I am an expert in using data to incorporate individualized instruction for my students. Finally, I have trained other special education teachers to use SESIS to develop IEPS. I have received additional IEP training as part of the evaluation process at CSE, Bronx. I am looking for a special ed. position where I can utilize all my teaching experiences.
