PROJECT DETAILS
1) M.Tech Final Year Project: Worked for National Aerospace Laboratories
(NAL), Bengaluru.
TITLE: “Electrical Power Soft-Stall Control for Small-Scale Wind Turbine” Description:
The main goal of this project is to limit the wind turbine power which helps to run the turbine in stall region. It is necessary to control and reduce the wind turbine power during high wind speed using pitch control or stall control. In this project, controller proposed for controlling power in wind generator depends on Current and Voltage estimated on DC side of rectifier which is attached to permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG).MPPT controller is operated under normal condition using DC to DC converter. At the stage of high wind speed, the proposed controller controls the wind turbine which helps to run the turbine in stall region. The proposed controller decreases stress in system while it smoothing the power generated and stabilizes the non-linear system using current feedback loop. Results are simulated by using MATLAB software. 2) B.E Final year Project:
TITLE: “HARVESTING OF NON-CONVENTIONAL ENERGY SOURCES” Description:
In this project, power is generated using non-conventional sources of energy. Load cells and solar cells are used as non-conventional energy sources. When pressure is applied on load cells, due to unbalance in Wheatstone bridge of load cell, voltage is obtained from load cells and when photons in sunlight hit the solar panel, DC voltage is obtained from solar panel. The voltage from load cells and solar panel are connected in series and stored in battery. DC loads are directly driven from battery and for AC loads, inverter circuit is used. TECHNICAL DETAILS
