B.NATURE OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
COMMISSIONING AND OPERATION OF OIL & GAS PROCESS PLANT
Involve and implementation for field activities like hydro testing, line flushing and cleaning which may be water flushing, air blowing or cardboard blasting, chemical cleaning, oil flushing, steam blowing, Catalyst loading and filling, pigging etc. depending upon the nature of fluid handling in the system, system dry out, system box up, leak test (LP and OP), chemical filling.
Inverting, nitrogen displacement with feed intake etc. Before preparation of punch list, functional
test of rotary equipment, stroke checking of control valves.
External and internal inspection of column, vessel etc. also has to be carried out
Preparations for the Commissioning and pre commissioning procedures and operation manual
Function test and commissioning and pre commissioning P&ID and procedure preparation.
Review of all design documents issued by the Engineering Services Contractors (e.g. technical reports, specifications, procedures, drawings, etc.)
Organize and perform activities on commissioning and testing of all construction projects carried out by the Construction team within UGPP in accordance with procedures, standards and other guidelines for commissioning work to ensure a timely start-up.
Develop programs and calendar schedules of commissioning work and testing, agree them with management.
As a supervisor field and Panel Operation for Daily Operations, Maintaining logs Monitoring process parameters, acknowledging process alarms based on priority, trends monitoring, maintaining logs, start-up and shutdown of the plant.

Plant Operational Tasks and Duties:
Monitors via terminals and alarms, the operations of the designated area and coordinates process activities according to Instructions received and production requirements. Includes continuous monitoring of instruments and equipment, making field adjustments according to process parameters as required.
Maintains continuous radio contact with Rover and Senior Operators to keep them informed of operating conditions to request manual adjustments of equipment, to carry out on-site readings and convey instructions given by Shift Supervisor.
Maintains continuous liaison with other Panel Operators to coordinate the required supplies according to production conditions.
Alters operating conditions or product flows to allow prior isolation of equipment for maintenance and re-commences operations according to procedures, following completion of maintenance. Keeps himself aware of ongoing maintenance work by reviewing permit to work records/logs.
Communicates with the Panel Operator of other areas to coordinate operations that may affect the operation and/or production of any unit within the Plant. Includes informing each other of changes and synchronizing activities to minimize loss of production.
Determines developing trends in operating conditions, reporting significant changes and initiating action as required.
Is focal communications point between Shift Supervisor/Superintendent and outside operators during emergency situations.
Responsible for the support of Company Safety, environment and Quality policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to his job as spelled out in Management Systems Manual, Safety Manual and other related documents.
Carries out similar or related duties such as assisting in maintaining shift log; initiating emergency procedures as required and complying with safety rules and regulations.
