Consultant/Owner
Provider of outsourced supply chain services for small builders. Present project is estimating a 10K SF medical office building in Brownsville, Texas. If my client is the successful bidder I have the option to manage the project.
Coordination of logistics for startup company providing maintenance services on the two large (240’ x 50’) LED screens in NRG stadium in Houston, TX for the Houston Texans.

Grundfos USA, Brookshire, TX 2011 - 2013
North American Region Category Manager (2013)
Promoted into a newly created role to develop and continuously improve sourcing, process management, relationship management, and risk management of key categories for all four Grundfos manufacturing locations in North America.
Responsible for the full strategic sourcing process, including market analysis, supply chain strategy, and relationship management for supply chain optimization. Served as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cost drivers within commodity markets.
Developed strategies by profiling categories, generating a supplier portfolio, and engaging suppliers in Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Proposal (RFPs). Used market screening, segmentation, value chain, and financial evaluations to finalize vendor selections.
Ensured supplier management best practices, including vendor consolidation, audits, and site visits.
Strategic Buyer (2011 - 2013)
Tracked manufacturing requirements and forecasts to optimize order quantities, timing, and deliveries.
Mitigated nonconformance problems, specification changes, and billing issues.
Consistently exceeded standards on key performance indicators (KPIs) including on-time deliveries, and payments.
Directed five strategic sourcing initiatives including direct and indirect categories, to evaluate potential savings.
Key Accomplishments:
Spearheaded a successful eAuction initiative that significantly streamlined the Request for Quote (RFQ) process.
Reduced trucking costs by negotiating pricing tied to fuel index, saving $25K in the first year and mitigating future price volatility due to seasonal demand and spikes in market pricing.
Reduced delinquent delivery times by 50% over three months, from 60% late, to less than 10% on more than $1MM annual spend with a key overseas supplier.
In less than one year, achieved a 99.75% vendor score on avoiding nonconformance on delivered materials, improved from 4% returns to <0.01% (and trending down) with a key overseas supplier.
Renegotiated Incoterms and payment terms for non-compliant vendors to reduce effective interest rates and better regulate cash flow.
Transformed communications between the company and the primary Chinese supplier by designing and implementing an RFI system that shared detailed files, eliminating repeated emails and negating latency of 13-hour time difference between China and the US.
Served as the technical resource for cross-functional product teams on two new product lines with initial procurement budgets in excess of $1MM each; sourced complete parts assemblies collaborating with designers to shape product development to control tooling costs, as well as contribute to prototype testing and scheduling.

Directed all IT purchasing functions in support of 20,000 employees between corporate headquarters and 1,600 North American locations.
Renegotiated contracts for hardware, services, and software licensing for more favorable terms, and pricing.

Managed enterprise technology refreshes and software rollouts for corporate headquarters and remote locations.
Oversaw the deployment team responsible for bringing hardware up to standards for all North American locations in advance of a major software rollout.

Generated $350K in annual savings by designing and implementing a vendor direct ordering portal, minimizing overhead and standardizing the list of approved hardware available to users.
Reduced costs for lost hardware 40% ($400K in annual savings) by overhauling procedures for tracking leased equipment.
