Preparing the quotation and proposal for the project.

List of Projects handled as a Project Leader in RR center - QuEST

Building of Assembly Aid Model for Development Engines:

Project involves creation of Development engine assembly aid model using the VRS (Vehicle Requirement System) and SLN document as input.

Required design assembly parts are Imported from the RR Hub and assembled by using NX in Teamcenter and develop a Vismockup file. Fitters use this file to assemble the Engine at shop floor.

Overall assembly components are around 20000.

Customer: - Rolls-Royce, UK.

Stage Modelling of Turbine NGV components:

Project involves creation of stage models and drawings for T1000, TXWB and T500 HP NGV using NX in Teamcenter.

Manufacturing stage models consists of the following 3 levels.

1.MM assembly – Defines the Manufacturing Methods

2.MPM – Manufacturing Process Models contains the stage level feature.

3.Stages – by using the wave link option individual stages are created from MPM.

Tools: -Unigraphics NX6 and Teamcenter 8.

Design automation of Bulb turbine:

Project involves creation of a design automation tool for Bulb turbine for Hydro Power plant. Automation was done for a range of sizes based on head size.

Bulb turbine consists of the following sub-assemblies such as Discharge ring, Draft tube, Wicket gate assembly, Runner assembly, and Shaft-shaft cover assembly, Bearing Assembly, Packing box assembly and Oil header assembly. Customer requirement was to have User inter face, automated models, automated drawings, automated mass and Automated BOM.

Tools: -Unigraphics NX4, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, VB and U-Func programs

Customer: -Hitachi, Japan.

Automation of Steam Turbine - ELLIOTT

Project involves creation of a design automation tool for Steam turbine.

Automation was done for a range of sizes based on the Elliott design specification.

Steam Turbine consists of the following sub-assemblies such as Basic steam end, Extraction, Exhaust, Shaft assembly and Bearing assembly.

Master model concept was followed to achieve this, Master Model was done and conditions were written for various cases. Testing and validation was done for the Test values provided by customer.

TOSHIBA Steam Turbine Automation

Modeling of Steam Turbine components such as Lower Casing, Journal Bearing, Nozzle Plate and Nozzle Box were done, Master model Concept approach was carried out.

SARNATH Consultant Projects:

Modeling & Drafting of various systems of Automobile accessories, which includes hubs, gear pipes, brackets, sheet metal components, Different types of frames for LCV vehicles, heavy trucks, bus body parts, chassis, stay bumpers for various Trucks for ISUZU, Japan.

Modeling & Drafting of Side panels, Windows and Doors for Trucks and Buses for ISUZU, Japan

The un-parametric Catia files are Re-Mastered to parametric UG native files.

Got C-SAT championship score of 100% for a project (Discharge Ring Automation) executed for Hitachi, Japan.
