Objective To obtain an entry level position in the Aerospace Engineering industry Education Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Daytona Beach Bachelor of Science, Aerospace Engineering Expected May 2017 Area of Concentration: Astronautics GPA 3.79/4.0 Dean’s List Project Finite Element analysis Project -Tail Cone section: Team lead of 3-person team Experience Tasked with recreating the Tail Cone of a passenger jet from CATIA drawings. delegate parts to skilled team members, construct the rear fuselage, analyze the model with Femap NX NASTRAN. Spacecraft Detail design project – Rockoon: Team lead of 9 person team Supervise the team’s progress, enforce deadlines, assign tasks, analyze budgets, prioritize requirements set by the professor. Develop an interface control document for the system. Spacecraft Preliminary design project – Rockoon: Subsystem lead of 3-person team Designed a balloon-rocket system that would launch 14 3U CubeSat’s to an orbit of 500km. Managed command module subsystem which contain all the electronics needed to follow the system during the balloon’s ascent and decent. Determined requirements of subsystem, Drafted a parts list, worked on preliminary design of system
Spacecraft Attitude Dynamics project – 3U CubeSat: Individual project Developed a MATLAB program that simulated the response of a 3U CubeSat under various conditions that included no stabilization, spin stabilization and gravity gradient stabilization. Utilized ode45 to solve a set of differential equations that included quaternions and Euler’s equations. Space Mechanics project – GPS satellite: Individual project Created a MATLAB program that simulated the orbit of a GPS satellite with respect to ECI frame. Used rfk45 to solve differential equations and plotted ground track of satellite. MATLAB Class project – Nerf blaster simulator: Individual project Used MATLAB to design a program that could predict the range of each dart fired from a blaster. Read and modified an excel sheet that contained a list of blasters and experimental data. Allowed user to search for a blaster and compare it to another blaster using plots. CATIA Class project – Stapler: Member of 4-person team Dimensioned stapler with calipers, modeled parts in CATIA. Created assemblies of complete Stapler. Modeled new design parts, and created assembly of improved stapler. Work Walmart
