PAGING APPOINTMENTS

When there's a technician available is here for an appt with the dr/tech

When there's a technician available __ owner is waiting for going home instructions

CONFIRMATION CALLS

Hi this is Dana from New Hope Animal Hospital, calling to confirm appointment on

Wednesday August 3rd at 3:00PM with the dr/tech. Thank you, we will see you then.

** remind to bring fecal fresh within 12 hours if due/cats say to clean the litter box out the

night before and anything in there the next day should be good to bring in, just make sure if

you have clumping litter to get stool not urine. Ok to have litter on it.

** fasting from food (12 HOURS) for non diabetic dogs only. Water is ok.

** NP/NC remind to bring paperwork if necessary, that is if the note doesn't state it was

already sent.

** this is also a good time to check and make sure if a pet is scheduled for vaccines that they

are in fact due and appropriately scheduled.

DISCHARGE PETS FROM HOSPITAL VS SURGERY

When a client comes for discharge of their pet from HOSPITAL (for example; glucose curves,

sedate for procedures, sick pets, etc.)

You will need to find the specific technician who was in charge of the pet. They will either

invoice the chart for you or ok for you to invoice the chart. In some situations if the specific

technician for that pet has left for the day you can ask any technician and they will often be

able to help out.

When a client comes for a discharge of their pet from SURGERY (for example; OHE, neuter,

dental, lumpectomy, VSS)

If the chart is checked RTG you can check out the client with their charges. Then explain to

the owner that we will get them checked out and then a technician or receptionist (depending

on who their going home instructions are scheduled with) will go over after care instructions.

If with a technician you will page “when there is a technician available Skye's owner(s) are

waiting for going home instructions.” Then a technician will come up and go over all after

care instructions with the owner(s).
