• Recapitalized AIT, negotiating with multiple lenders and shareholders (including an employee stock ownership plan), avoiding forced liquidation.

• Developed new product to manage prescribing behavior involving narcotic painkillers.

• Managed and resolved federal court actions involving ESOP brought by U.S. Department of Labor. Negotiated $7 Million in settlements to benefit ESOP.

• Successfully sold Company to private equity-backed purchaser in June 2016, simultaneously spinning out forensic division to a newly-formed purchaser.

Chairman, President and CEO, Senex Financial Corp., Indianapolis, Indiana 1998-2007 Co-founded non-recourse purchaser of charged-off healthcare receivables, which grew to be the largest such purchaser in the U.S.

• Shifted purchasing program from credit card receivables to healthcare receivables, a previously unknown

(and much more complicated) asset class.

• Negotiated multiple financing structures, including securitization of receivable pools, and managed two rounds of institutional investment.

• Grew business from 2 employees to 100.

President and CEO, Circle Investors, Inc., Indianapolis, Indiana 1993-1997 Co-founded purchaser of life insurance companies with Dan Quayle, former Vice-President of the United States.

• Developed Board of Directors and strategy, created financing structures, negotiated and implemented the acquisition of 4 life insurance companies.

• Chaired the boards of 4 life insurance subsidiaries, overseeing operations.

• Negotiated and executed profitable sale transaction when Dan Quayle ran for President. Initial investors received 5x cash-on-cash in 4.5 years.

Deputy to the Chairman, Federal Housing Finance Board, Washington, D.C. 1992-1993 Full-time deputy to part-time Chairman of this new agency, created in 1989 to regulate and govern the Federal Home Loan Bank System, as part of the savings and loan resolution.

• Developed strategic plan for the Bank System, building consensus across the system of 12 banks around the U.S., and among savings and loan shareholders.
