ROUTINE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Assess the physical, surgical, neurological & psychological condition of the patient.

Maintenance of intravenous fluids and inotrops (eg. Dopamine & NTG etc)

Administration of medication in time (eg: OD, BD, TID, QID, SOS)

Monitoring ABG, CVP & Cardiac output monitoring .

Central Line Care

Collection of Specimen (eg: Serum, ABG, Urine, Sputum)

GCS monitoring & close neurology observation, Triage category

ECG recording & CTG monitoring

Care of ICD drainage, blood transfusion

Catheterization, continuous bladder irrigation, enema, bladder wash, wound dressing maintenance aseptic techniques & collecting sample for laboratory examination.

Sample collection (eg: Blood from arteries/ veins, urine sterile/ routine ).

Responsible for narcotic drugs and administration of narcotics and controlled drugs .

Assist the endotracheal intubation, central line, arterial line, ICD insertion and Lumbar puncture .

Giving CPR in cardiac pulmonary arrest.

Suctioning including oral –tracheal and tracheotomy.

Care of dying and providing death care .

Giving handover at the end of the shift and the shifting patient in ward, ICU and OT

Maintain the hand wash procedure .
