Academic Projects
Graduation:
Title: Traffic Volume Analysis and Design of Traffic Signals at Atmakur Bus stand in Nellore.
Description: Traffic is one of the major problems in developing countries like India. To avoid the traffic congestion signals should be designed properly. Atmakur Bus stand is one of the busiest centres in Nellore with traffic problems during peak hours. Based on the traffic volume and level of service of that particular centre is calculated and traffic signal are designed.
Masters:
Title: Stabilization of weak soil with calcium carbide residue (CCR).
Description: Soil stabilization is the improving of bearing capacity of a poor soil by compaction; proportioning and the addition of suitable stabilizers or admixtures. Calcium carbide residue (CCR) is the by product from acetylene gas which contains huge amount of Cao content acts as a binding material. The most available soils in India do not have adequate engineering properties to really bear the expected wheel load. Treatment of soil leads to improvement of its strength and reduce its vulnerability to water, able to withstand the stresses imposed on it by traffic under all weather conditions without excessive deformation. Several highways pavement in Indian roads are failing due to lack of use of soil with adequate engineering properties. By treating the soil with CCR the strength properties will increase and pavements are safe under design loads.
