Collaborate with the employing /supervising physician and other health care providers to provide patient care in the clinical and hospital settings.
Provides health counseling, guidance, and instructions to patients, as prescribed by the employing /supervising physician, regarding diets, medications, education of the patient concerning their disease entity, exercises, discharge planning, and follow-up plans.
Performs minor treatment such as: insertion and removal of urinary catheters, removal of sutures, shortening of drains, removal of drains, removal of chest tubes, removal of arterial lines, changing of dressings.
Assists employing /supervising physician with other treatments and/or examinations.
