QA Lead / Sr. QA Analyst (IT Solutions Delivery)

Bank of the West is a regional financial services company provides a wide range of personal, commercial, wealth management and international banking services.

1) Card Services:

Card Services Division is responsible for all aspects of product management and development for the Bank's suite of consumer, business, and corporate credit and debit cards.

Card Services Division provides information on card products, market and competitive updates, branch reporting, and research insights.

Project#1: EMV Debit Chip Card Project:

Conversion from Mag-stripe to EMV card.

EMV Chip cards will protect against lost/stolen and counterfeit fraud, add more security via risk management parameters and dynamic authentication and facilitate broader acceptance, enhancing the overall customer experience.

Project covered two message exchanges, namely the exchange where TPT wishes to request PIN verification and PIN change through the PIN Service Gateway (VeriFone and Ingenico Pin Pads).

Project#2: Real Time Payments

Intent of the project was to update the format (batch file) of the Online Banking Credit Card Payments file to the Right Time Payments format and increase the frequency of the Credit Card Payments file from once a day to twice a day.

2) Check Deposit and Fraud Detection:

Check & Deposit Initiative is sponsored by Corporate Security and will utilize the IRIS platform to reduce deposit fraud losses through enhanced intra-day detection and better handling of suspicious deposits. This project will focus on implementation of Detica’s fraud detection, monitoring, and case management capabilities.

3) BWIS (Banc West Investment Services):

BancWest Investment Services is a separate legal entity that is part of the WMG group at Bank of the West. It has lots of manual processes and processing times in several areas including and servicing accounts, Service Center Requests. These processes are currently driven by offline/manual tracking of distributions, multiple hand-offs, time consuming approvals & lack of easy access to account information without having much technology support. The intent of this project is to streamline the processes, embed & execute controls during appropriate process steps, automate business rules execution where possible and ensure timely tracking and completion of process steps and thereby entire processes.

Responsibilities:

Recent project included Functional testing for enhancement projects on TouchPoint (client-centric) for Sales, Services and Teller Applications for different Account types (Savings, Checking, MMS, Retirement, Mortgage etc).

Created Opportunities, Tasks, Referrals, Appointments, CRM Lead tasks via TouchPoint Sales Application.

Performed testing on Online Account Opening and did KYA and KYC for the Individual and Business Customers using TouchPoint Service Application.

DCT’s Fraud Prevention and Authentication is a platform providing Wells Fargo consumer and business customers the ability to prevent any Fraud Activity electronically/online/Devices. The multi-tier system is a combination of UI for customers and a batch file system, which processes information and sends it to distinct internal and external processing endpoints. Information from various SOR’s is stored in the database that tracks all changes to the data.

For UI/MQ notifications, QA triggers these via WIB front-end or Test Harness.

For Web service notifications, QA triggers using Soap UI requests or through the test harness.
