Perform all hydro, air, and steam test of all valves, both low and hi pressure (Including bubble tight seat test on all valves)
Responsible for the calibration and logging the use of pressure gages used on test stands, along with torque wrenches, and all measuring equipment in machine shop
Perform some machine work when needed such as polishing valve trim, drilling and tapping of holes (removing of broken studs), and re-serrating of flange faces
Operate Bead Blast Cabinet, other parts cleaner, Rotary Blaster, and safely operate company forklift along with company truck, etc.

Roughing and drilling of parts on manual turret lathe, including the use of indicating parts with a “4 Jaw” manual chuck
Head technician over ball valves and responsible for the lapping of balls within .0002” roundness and achieving a 16RMS finish or better, utilizing diamond lapping compounds with lapping fixtures
Cleaned all internal components and moving parts of valves; trouble shot problematic valves
Examined valves or mechanical control device parts for defects, dents, loose attachments, and marked problematic areas
Hydro and Nitrogen tested critical service ball valves and regulators for “0 shut-down”, utilizing latest technology in chart recorders and other testing/chromogenic in which were manufactured in-house
Carryout various shop runs/misc. errands in company truck safely
