Use of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to create macros on Excel spreadsheet menu for user to select option to analyze and create custom information reports.

Macros were created from requirements received from management.

Each Macro requirement had a unique test script(s) to verify completeness. In most instances I also used a similar management generated report to compare and verify results from macro build.

Used Namespace System.IO.StreamReader and StreamWriter classes in macros to correctly read/write user data and create outputs for system report creation.

Worked with SQL administrator to insert VBA macros in daily morning SAP runs to analyze data stored in SQL database and extracted per shop order as a spreadsheet.

Analyzed multiple excel spreadsheets to determine patterns of operator manually entered problem descriptions to change into standardized comments for operators to use that could be used in management reporting for future testing.

Satisfied management requirement that the analysis and management report builds take seconds to complete. 180,000 spreadsheet records containing customer test results took 5 seconds to analyze and create management report.

Created Visual Basic program updates and new objects for business use in VB.NET from requirements received from management.

Used SQL management studio and T-SQL to perform maintenance on business database tables. Used joins to format queries and inserts using multiple tables.

Use WebFocus and DB2 relational DB’s with TSO on IBM OS Mainframe to create ‘First Pull’ transactions for Parts Technical Department processing. Analyzed COBOL programs to determine path of “First Pull” transactions and traced JCL executable COBOL programs using TSO.
