APU Mechanic (10/1989 – 6/2016)

Assembled, disassembled, and performed balance operation. Performed functional test and/or as received testing for new builds and production returns to engineering test publications for all Fuel Controls and accessories. Inspection of all production and pre-production controls and accessories, components and various types of manufactured hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical and fluid moving devices.

Preformed electro-mechanical assembly and other tasks as required for sub-assemblies, end items assemblies and test equipment. Duties include: selection, cutting and installation of electronic components. Heli-coil insertion, torch brazing, soldering, fitting, aligning and shimming to JIS and other instructions. Performed pressure testing, pretesting and rework of assemblies as required. Utilized electrical and mechanical measuring devices. Review and analyze own work and correct deficiencies.

Performed dimensional (including in process and surface plate activities), Testing units using proper test procedures or specifications and maintain reliable test data. Checked test set-ups, witnesses test, and verify test data. Removed and replaced test equipment in support of calibration and repair. Ensured non-conformance documents are accurate, complete and processed in accordance with applicable procedures and instructions.
