Project: Recapitalization Deep Draft Berthing Wharf C-2, Naval Station, Mayport, FL

This project required demolition of existing under used wharf with old services supplied to ships. It entailed demolition of existing concrete apron, all utilities, extending a new wharf wall and bulkhead, upgraded utility services; electrical, water, sewer, ship and aircraft fuel lines. The new wharf was expanded 15’ wider and I was responsible for overall site safety, SWPPP, environment issues and responsible for record keeping. Presented site safety orientations, inspected site daily, monitored heat stress management program. As the Primary SSHO, reviewed AHA’s, critical lift plans, dive plans of all subcontractors working on site. Interfaced with safety visitors, Command visitors, inspected all motorized equipment, kept records of paperwork with regards to safety requirements under the EM 385-1-1, 15 SEP 2008.
