STRATEGIC PRODUCT MANAGER Ericsson Canada 2014 – Present
Core Team of 4, With Span of Control across 22 Globally Distributed Teams of 20 Members Each
Earned the transition from the India office to Ericsson Canada, in order to provide renewed leadership over the progress of end-to-end product development pertaining to platform and services within information and communications technology (ICT) centres across the globe.
Support and mobilize a centralized team as the product owner of Ericsson’s management platform and connectivity solutions. Excel as a leader within a matrixed organization, working with a core team of 4 to control operations, requirements, financing and other project components.
Hold authority to assess risk and make strategic and tactical decisions on the selection and initiation of projects, as manager of the ~$150M CAD CapEX and ~$22.5M OpEX budget for a soon-to-be active segment of operations.
Major accomplishments include:
Decoupling of Ericsson’s hardware and software product offerings, upon the launch of a new private cloud program.
Complete introduction of 2 new products and modernization of 14 existing products into the ICT landscape.
Management of the solutions-driven ‘Application Modernization Program’, reflecting local and global product strategy.
SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER Ericsson India Global Services Pvt Ltd 2011 – 2014
Team of 67 (5 Program Managers, 45 Project Managers [end to end], 2 Project Expediters and 15 PMO Analysts)
Presided over the central corporate office, earning a reputation during this role as a change agent and transformation leader. Drove the progressive increase of corporate synergy across offices throughout the globe, and created solutions to improve local project governance. Reported to the Office of the CIO (Global) and Head of IT and Test Environments (Local) as an extended member of the Global leadership team.
Established the Program Management Practice, instituting a modular and versatile P3MO build consisting of ready-to-go processes, tools and approaches to boost speed and enhance flexibility across the delivery life-cycle.
Major Accomplishments Included:
Ownership of the ‘Needs to Solution’ Value Flow project, creating a standard funnel by which problems are solved Established dedicated SMEs across the globe, to bringing value to the system and create dialogue across national offices which would prevent the wasteful creation of redundant solutions.
Management of the ‘Client Transformation Program’, transforming the IT landscape from Windows computers to hybrid proprietary/Linux platform as the best environment for developers. Progressed through 7 iterations after requirements gathering from 115,000 Users and equal number of contractors to 5,000 user segments each with unique application packaging. Completed this program within a 3-year timeframe, well within the expected 5 years.
MANAGER, SUPPORT (Advance Services Division) Cisco Systems India Pvt Ltd 2006 – 2011
Team of 135 (9 Managers, 12 Project Managers, 9 Technical Account Managers, 45 Engineers and 60 Support Engineers)
Coordinated a team of individual contributors and front-line managers providing emergency resolution to business critical situations, across the Communications and Collaboration solutions group spanning the EMEA, APAC and LATAM regions.
Capitalized on the team’s multi-disciplinary capabilities in system integration and middleware creation, to restore the confidence of clients at the highest point of escalation.
Led the transformation and modernization of business processes through consistent half-yearly process review and re-engineering.
Drove the significant growth of the Unified Communications portfolio across the Middle East, Africa, CEE, LATAM, APAC and ANZ markets, with a mandate to raise the international portfolio revenue from 2% to 10% of the global total (for a total $15.5M USD per year). Achieved growth to 12% of total global revenue, by mobilizing and strengthening Account Managers and Support teams to revive inactive yet highly valuable business channels.

End-to-end development and introduction of support divisions, monitoring teams and the PMO for an internal business unit.
Successful takeover and completion of a floundering IP phone deployment for 6,000 users.
Brokering of the first-ever end-to-end collaboration with a telecommunications partner to joint-deliver Cisco services.
