• I was a part of the Ready-to-Wear development team, worked with the fabric sourcing & design development team to support designers in all aspects of fabric & design development seasonally.
• I was assisting the design team on the development of the collection (dying zippers, sourcing trims & materials, fabric treatments, embroidery artwork/process).
• I received & tagged all sample yardages, distributed swatches to design & PD teams, assisted in tracking & receiving sample yardages & trims on a timely basis, ling & organizing fabric library & archives, helped prepare & send fabric development packages, organizing and developing fabric team development binders and pulling fabric options for concepts needed.
• I helped in delivering and picking up from garment factories, fabric & trim vendors.
• I assisted in creating Bill-of-materials/ cut-tickets and organize materials for seasonal styles & organizing trims & tracking inventory as well as pulling trims for production.
• sourcing, selecting and buying fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments
• understanding design from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns and technical speci cations for designs
• planning and developing ranges
• creating/visualizing an idea and producing a design by hand or using computer-aided design
