Duties: I am one of the original team that started and developed the Utilization Management Dept of VOA. I contacted various psychiatric facilities for utilization reviews of Medicaid psychiatric patients to determine if the criteria for continued hospitalization are met or if it should be denied. I also certified people for admission to psychiatric hospitals. This involved reviewing their symptoms and level of risk with their diagnosis. I provided the North Sound RSN weekly reports of all the utilization reviews of adult and children. Finally, I was on the Crisis Response team and answered the School Safety Hotline.
