Instrumental in the development of a $2 million per year cost savings initiative by the addition of an in line process chemical treatment to the carpet fiber to use 25-30% less dyestuffs and dramatically increase machine efficiencies. Have been involved from day one to completion and implementation
Member of a cross functional team which by implementing process improvements are aiding in a cleaner water discharge and is also improving Biological Oxygen Demand with regards to the Dye House water effluent. We are now below the required environmental standard of the local and state sewer municipality for BOD levels and are no longer paying surcharges which have been as high as $5000.00.Our company now pays $0
Implemented a Dyeing chemistry change within the dyeing process to lower dye bath pH thus using 10% less dyestuffs. This is resulting in a $250,000 saving for the company is raw material spending and also sending cleaner effluent to Local water authority.
