PROJECTS:
Hayabusa Reverse Engineering, UC Davis, June 2016
Collaborated with a team of five student engineers to reverse engineer the Hayabusa spacecraft by breaking down the
mission requirements, creating subsystem and subsystem functional requirements, as well as performing analyses of
the orbit of the Hayabusa about the asteroid, the sampler horn projectile, and the reaction wheels. Researched
scientific journals to analyze the requirements of each subsystem and simulate the orbit of the Hayabusa about
Itokawa.
MATLAB Audio Studio, UC Davis, December 2014
Collaborated with a team of three student engineers to program an audio sampler capable of receiving, editing, and
playing an input sound file to demonstrate proficiency with MATLAB. Researched audio studio functionalities in
order to envision a final product and program individual pieces to work towards the desired goal.
SolidWorks Design, UC Davis, December 2013
Collaborated with a team of four student engineers to design and 3D model a guitar to demonstrate proficiency with
SolidWorks. Implemented a top down approach, breaking the guitar down into manageable, integrable parts.
EXPERIENCE:
Cyber Human Physical Systems Lab, UC Davis, Professor Zhaodon Kong, July 2016 current
Collaborate with three other student engineers to design a reconfigurable UAV
Construct an F330 drone from a kit and repaired a Makerbot Replicator 2x 3d printer
Design, model, and 3D print custom parts to protect two drones during collisions and house the processor
and GPS
Self-learned solder skills for the wiring of speed controllers and propellers.
Student Academic Success Center, UC Davis, Tutor, July 2016 current
Tutor upper division engineering core classes: Fluid Mechanics and Dynamics
Use interpersonal communication skills to break down complicated concepts to help student understanding
Model strong work ethic and problem solving as a near-peer mentor
Intervarsity, UC Davis, Intern Small Group Leader, June 2014 August 2015
Organized, implemented and evaluated curriculum for small group of ten student participants and for a group
of twenty-two student leaders
Collaborated with two co-leaders, supervisors and participants
Implemented curriculum, facilitated comprehension, promoted team participation while adhering to intended
agenda
