ACADEMIC PROJECTS/INTERNSHIP:
Graduate Project:
Performance Evaluation for Smart Antenna in WiMAX Communications
Adding smart antenna support and developing new scheduling algorithms for wireless mobile networks based on WiMAX technology. The use of smart antenna systems in WiMAX vehicular communications increases the coverage and throughput thus reducing the infrastructure costs.
The reception apparatuses were demonstrated in OPNET utilizing the parameters gave by Plasma Net Company which is delivering them.
Undergraduate Projects:
Title: RFID BASED TOLLGATE SYSTEM.
RFID based toll gate system is an efficient utilization of communication link between RF Modems over a wireless channel to facilitate vehicle authentication and automated toll collection on the highway.
The vehicle will be equipped with a radio frequency (RF) active tag with unique identification number. In accordance with this identity we will store, all basic information as well as the available amount. Reader will be strategically placed at toll collection center.
Whenever the vehicle passes the tollgate, the tax amount will be deducted from his prepaid balance. New balance will be updated. Incase if one has insufficient balance, toll tax will be collected by hand or negative balance is updated.
Tool: Arduino software.
Equipment: ZigBee series 2, RFID tag, Atmega 328 microprocessor, LCD.
Title: HOME AUTOMATION USING ARDUINO.
The main brain for our project is Arduino UNO Board along with Arduino Ethernet Shield to give it a wireless connectivity. Arduino runs a code to control a Relay board according to the input and serves a web page through which respective output to the relay board can be controlled. Through relay controller board we can control lamps, tubes or any AC power sockets.
Tool: Arduino.
Equipment: Arduino UNO Board, Ethernet Shield.
