Projects

Using Visual Basic code, I created a functional employee timecard that recorded employee information such as name, id #, position, etc. saved it, and would bring it up on a separate form if searched for.

Using SAS Enterprise Miner, I ran Multiple Regression, Memory Based Reasoning, and Cluster Analysis on a dataset that contained Male and Female data on how much time in their day they spent on activities such as work, chores, hobbies, etc. to predict future behavior and to find correlations in the data.

Using MS Project, I created a Gant Chart displaying work breakdown with sequencing and dependencies, multiple timelines, and a financial report.

Using MS Visio, I modeled several enterprise activities with a Use Case diagram, Workflow diagram, and several UML static structure diagrams.

Using Oracle Express 11g and Oracle SQL Developer I administered a database by creating tables, imported and exported data, ran queries and SQL scripts, and generated reports.

Using Aris Express I created a BPMN diagram, a Business Process diagram, and an Organizational chart.

For my Capstone Project I created ten questions to interview eight IS/IT professionals to gain further knowledge about defense in depth strategies used in the real world today. Before creating the questions I researched defense in depth best practices and challenges. I hypothesized that defense in depth itself is a best practice and that the technologies used would be the biggest challenge to implement a successful strategy. After conducting the interviews my first hypothesis was proved correct but my second was not as “people” proved to be the biggest challenge in implementing a successful strategy.
