Communicate with patients in a clear and easy to understand manner to ensure they are
familiar and comfortable with the procedure. Complete screening interviews with patients to
i dentify potential contraindications and answer any questions, as well as obtain brief medical
h istories and explain the MRI procedures to patients, family members, and / or patient
representatives.
Operate MRI scanners to create detailed images for patients; select the appropriate imaging
techniques, position patients correctly in the machine, inject int ravenous contract dyes / attach
monitoring leads, and provide headphones and earplugs to reduce noise. Upon completion,
i nspect each image for quality, create backup copies, verify the tests against the patients chart,
and wri te reports / notes to summarize procedures / outcomes for fur ther review and analysis.
Consistently monitors and checks equipment to ensure they are in proper working order
and in compliance with industry standards; report any potential issues to management
i mmediately.
