The American Fire Safety Administration is very similar to the NFPA in scope of work. NFPA Level II Designer

The National Fire Protection Association has awarded me this certification verifying my abilities to read, interpret, and understand all construction trades, ie; all possible BluePrints, electrical schematics, plumbing, and HVAC in reference to the specific job at hand in order to design appropriate Fire Protection systems based on Federal & State guidelines. This certification also verifies many many hours spent in the field ensuring accurate and efficient design and implementation.

OSHA & MSHA 60Hr Safety Certification

They are both completely independent of one another and I had to attend both conferences and pass both exams to acquire these certifications.
