• Provided input to two new Static and Dynamic models during the same period.

• Evaluated incoming CCAL and SCAL data for incorporation into CPI evaluation and models (log calibration, Facies and Perm models, Baritic content evaluation, Sat. Height models).

Jun 2012 to Dec 2012 Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland

M.Sc. Petroleum Engineering

Completed my distance-learning program for my M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering by writing up the thesis: "Scoping for Shale Gas through basic Well Log Analysis". Jul 2009 to May 2012 Talisman Energy Inc., Calgary, Canada

Petrophysicist Team Lead

Worked in the International Exploration and Technology Group in Talisman. Projects were varied - from reservoir evaluation with limited datasets to future planning and contract bidding. Main project in the last 12 months was to investigate and evaluate shale gas plays worldwide. May 2006 to Jun 2009 Maersk Oil Qatar, Doha, Qatar

Lead Petrophysicist

Lead Petrophysicist for Maersk Oil Qatar during the execution of the (then) current Field Development Plan. Operationally responsible for daily evaluation of LWD logs and also interpretation and planning of geosteering information in mainly horizontal wells, covering up to 25000 ft reservoir sections in relatively thin clastic and carbonate reservoirs. Created a new method for assigning facies from raw LWD logs in horizontal wells with the aim of automating permeability transforms for upscaling into the static model of a carbonate reservoir.

2008-2009 President (and co-founder) of the Qatar chapter of SPWLA (Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts.

July 2004 to Apr 2006 Schlumberger Oilfield Services, Gulf Geomarket, Abu Dhabi
