The opportunity you present will keep me on the right path for my career goals. After 13 years in the electrical field in the Vancouver area, about 10 years in general building supply and wood frame construction in Montreal and Winnipeg, I was inspired me to renew my career path. I returned to school to prepare for estimating in general construction. My studies were directed to the drafting and engineering tech. areas in steel detailing and civil drafting. With this in my portfolio now, I have now moved on from 8 years of drafting and have been concentrating on estimating and project management.

After completing courses in Civil / Structural and Steel Detailing in March 99, Edmonton, AB. offered the best opportunities in the Steel Detailing discipline. 5 years with Supreme Steel offered quite an experience in large projects and teamwork. With the experience I gained there, I moved on to explore other drafting opportunities. These would include setting-up a drafting office in Calgary, 3d modeling with X-Steel, misc. detailing in AutoCAD, Piping and misc. oil field projects in Nisku, Curtain Wall fabrication, estimating / project coordinator for Garneau Manufacturing and most recently, Titan Tough Contract Welding where I worked as an estimator/project manager.

Having studied both steel detailing and Civil drafting and having “hands-on” experience drafting oil field equipment, I am confident that you will find my experience and training a valuable asset.
