I was hired as a laboratory technician wherein my duties involved the manufacturing of I-125 and Pd-103 brachytherapy seeds. This included the chemical preparation of the radioactive elements as well as the complete assembly of the sealed source through laser welding (and repairing and maintaining the laser and other laboratory equipment), leak testing of the sources, and analysis of radioactive samples using liquid scintillation counters and other gamma detectors. I also functioned as the 2003 Radiochemist & Lab Manager and 2010-the Radiation Safety Officer, responsible for maintaining the Radioactive Materials License and the Sealed Source and Device Registry with the State of Florida, as well as overseeing employee safety. I was responsible for the many Quality Assurance aspects of the company in regards to FDA compliance with 510k regulations such as writing standard operating procedures, employee training, and document control. In addition, I supervised the gamma spectrum analysis of all received isotopes and am a certified shipper of radioactive materials(Class 7 DOT). 1998-2000: Quincy Farms, Quincy, Florida:

As the mushroom farm's laboratory technician, my responsibilities were to collect compost samples from different stages of growth and to analyze them for TKN (Nitrogen analysis), pH, moisture content, and other chemical analysis. Figures for all data were reported to heads of all departments as well.
