I worked with the technical, commercial and project aspects of the company. A detailed overview of the upstream/downstream oil and gas technology, of the Frames products which included the GDU and GSU, separation technology and utility packages, oil and gas separator, different type of internals was provided. The tendering process and cost estimation of the process equipments were explained. Briefed about the overview of project execution starting from the purchase order to commissioning.

Project work on the manufacture of 2-aminophenol-4-sulfonamide (Jan 2014-May 2014)

I worked on a project for the final semester of my bachelors degree under the guidance of professor N. Nagendra Gandhi. The first part of the project required me to perform a material and mass balance on the system based on the flow-sheet design created for the product of the chemical. The second part was to design the important equipments which were used in the production of the chemical. I was graded based on this work and given an A.

I worked in the process department. Made P&ID's for gas treatment plant. I visited their fabrication workshop. I was made familiar with Oil and gas separators. I was also involved in HYSYS simulations, familiarized with heat exchanger design. involvement of HAZOP and HAZID studies were part of this job

I worked with this O&G Consulting company, who work on upstream and mid stream oil and gas projects. I worked in the process department on a produced water treatment plant for an Offshore project, this was an oily water separation plant to reuce oilin water < 50 ppm. the plant involved very high H2S and was a challenge.

I visited the sites involved in the construction of pipes, tanks, vessels like Drain vessels, LPG vessels for Oil and Gas Plants and heat exchangers which are later used for the offshore processing plant. Also visited an Offshore Platform that was ready to be offloaded to a barge.

Member of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, A.C.Tech, Anna University. I was one of the committee members for the events organised by the club.

Participated in inter-college paper presentation competition. The topic covered was heat exchangers, its types, factors that determine its performance and their applications.

Presented for the subject Technical Seminar, as part of the curriculum. The topic was azeotropic distillation, which is one of the important techniques used in the distillation process. The presentation covered its main principle, the process involved and its major applications.
