Instruct, train, and supervise students to become 0627 Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Operators/Maintainers in accordance with the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Systems Approach to Training (SAT) manual.

Develop, update, and maintain course curriculum; for the Introduction to Satellite, AN/USC-65 V1/V2 Lightweight Multi-band Satellite Terminal (LMST) and AN/TSC-156C Phoenix Terminal classes, to include instructional support materials.

Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the Phoenix course. The instruction consisted of electrical engineering, diverse communications equipment such as satellite modems (TDMA/FDMA), multiplexers/demultiplexers, quad-band up converters and down converters and RF antenna components.

Instructs Introduction to Satellite Communications, Secure Mobile Anti-Jam Reliable Tactical - Terminal (SMART-T), LMST, and Phoenix satellite terminals, accumulating a total of 3200 hours of instruction.

Conducts evaluations on junior instructors.

Maintained daily accountability for the Phoenix terminals, classroom, materials, tools and maintenance; with an overall value of 4.2 million dollars.

Perform additional duties as the Detachment's Safety Officer. Manage the unit's safety program and ensure the Detachment is in compliance with all DOD, USMC, Installation, OSHA and Detachment orders and directives.
