I managed 40 people for Martin Federal Consulting. They are a prime and sub-prime government contractor. I served as Sr. Administrative and Benefits Coordinator, Employees Concern Coordinator and Human Resources Assistant.

I helped create our company policies and employee handbook. I organized the logistics and transfer of all assets and materials when the office moved from Dadeville, AL to Auburn, AL. I organized and managed all employee files, confidential files & security files. I helped all employees enroll and set them up on our employee portal with ADP. I assigned and enrolled new employees for benefits when hired. I conducted background checks and registered employees with e-Verify system. I managed PTO, vacation and sick leave reports monthly.

I saved company money by reducing cost of insurance benefits by changing to another company that saved Martin Federal $36,000.00 a year in overhead expenses (the reduction of cost of insurance and benefits by switching carriers). I assisted financial director with all expenses and employee matters when needed. Sadly, the defense budget was cut and I had to be laid off in 2014.

Provided administrative support to managers, insurance agents and marketing personnel within our network. I documented all new business, screened all applications in a pre-underwriting capacity that enabled the approval of commissions to be calculated efficiently. I scheduled meetings including webinars and virtual meetings for all agents. I assisted managers with the calculations of all brokers’ commissions on a monthly basis. Schedule all travel and meetings arrangements when needed for trade shows and seminars. I assisted graphic design department as to how the agent or broker wanted a brochure, flier or greeting to be created. Sadly, when the housing/banking debacle and recession came about, we were losing money and my department was eliminated in 2009.
