Aircraft Sustaining Structural Design C-17 Naval Program
BOEING 777
Offsite assignment at Boeing Corp., Renton, Washington. Structural design of composite spars and machined fittings, created installation drawings of composite skin panels and spars for the inboard trailing edge flap of the new 777 commercial aircraft. All the design is performed on the CATIA V4 system (5,500 hrs).
Preparation of CATIA datasets for inspection and NC programming (500 hrs).
Received Certificate for outstanding performance on the Boeing 777 airplane.
SUPERCONDUCTING SUPER COLLIDER.
Offsite assignment at Grumman, Princeton, New Jersey. Design of the cold mass and the winding of the cable for the model dipole magnet used in the proposal for the Superconducting super collider. Business trip to Ansaldo Co., Genova, Italy to deliver the winding of the cable in person. All the design was performed on the 3-D AUTOCAD (version 10) system.
STRATEGIC DEFENSE INITIATIVE
Offsite assignment at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, New Mexico - worked on Ground Test Accelerator, Radio-frequency quadrupole (RFQ) and Drift-tube Linac (DTL) Vacuum Vessel and Support Structure.
Structural design, employed ADAGE CADRA system for design.
AIRBUS A-340
Offsite assignment at Canadair, Montreal, Canada. Structural modifications to upgrade Commercial Aircraft A-340. All the design was performed on the CADAM system.
LIAISON
Liaison engineer-field investigations; inspected materials and hardware and provided technical support to manufacturing for all aircraft.
