Responsible for launching and driving new market expansion for a global premium mobility company making its initial

entry into the US market. Responsible for building and training teams to facilitate corporate branch development, franchise

administration/development and airport relations. Key Results:

Franchise Launch & Sales: Created a bestinclass Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). Created a successful

Lead Generation campaign. Optimized both annually. Personally responsible for selling the first 30 franchises in

the US and for generating $2M in Initial Franchise Fees, also resulting in an immediately profitable Royalty Fee

revenue stream.

Airport Relations & Expansion: Established relationships with the top 200 airports in the US to cultivate future

expansion opportunities. Identified opportunities leading to signed agreements for new corporaterun branches at

key Consolidated Car Rental Facilities being constructed at major US airports with annual car rental markets

exceeding $250M/year such as Chicago OHare, San Diego and Tampa.

Hotel Branch Development: Broke through competitor national agreements with major hotel chains such as

Marriott and Sheraton. Negotiated favorable agreements with several key properties in the US for the

establishment of corporaterun branches each with revenue exceeding $1.5M/year and profitability within 6 months

of operation.

FBO Branch Development: Elevated company profile in the segment and tripled the number of corporaterun

branches operating in key Fixed Based Operators (FBOs) in 6 months.

Talent Development: Built and trained highcaliber teams for corporate branch development, franchise sales, and

airport relations. Was a stabilizing force amongst the chaos of startup operations, and created a culture of accountability

and departments experienced zero voluntary turnover in 4 years.

Software Solution: Implemented companys first formal franchise development software system (FranConnect),

generating significantly more leads, reducing cost per lead, allowing for efficient tracking and reporting, and ensuring

compliance with FDD regulations.

Advanced to Vice President/General Manager assignments in major metro markets, with ultimate accountability for

150+ locations producing $175M+ in revenues. Provided strategic, fiscal, and daytoday leadership over all

operations, sales, business development, P&L, and account acquisition/negotiations. Key Results:

Profit Turnarounds: Increased MidAtlantic Region profits by $5M in 2 consecutive years during the tough

economic times of 2008/2009. Replaced 30 severely underperforming branches with low cost/high margin agency

and hotel branches, while growing top line revenue 12%. Led an initiative to renegotiate or terminate 35

unprofitable business relationships, and was able to renegotiate 25 to profitable terms. Achieved best profit result

in 15 years for Hertz Canada operations, by franchising 3 underperforming branches, acquiring a key $5M

operation back from a franchisee under very favorable terms, and by implementing extensive expense control

measures.

Business Development: Grew the Hertz Local Edition network form the startup phase to an established regional

network in multiple markets in the US, including the first market in Oklahoma City, along with others in Northern

California, Southern California and the MidAtlantic. Created a strategic business development plan to target

competitor accounts for acquisition and personally negotiated and signed 10 major accounts in less than 12 months

($2M wins), while retaining all existing accounts.

Employee Retention/Satisfaction: Reduced employee turnover 45% in 1 year by instituting new employee relations

initiatives including employee recognition and mentor programs.

Ancillary Revenues: Increased ancillary revenues 23% by implementing an accountability program which

instituted minimum sales ratios for both continued employment and promotion consideration, setting a standard that

was implemented regionwide.

Cost Savings: Increased fleet utilization 4% by better managing maintenance repair lines, speeding up the fleet

addition and deletion process, optimizing reservation booking patterns, resulting in annual savings of $1.4M. Reduced

annual labor expenses $775K by centralizing redundant administrative, clerical, and HR functions along with utilizing

more casual parttime labor.

Relationship Building: Developed positive relationship with Union representatives/management to reduce

grievances 30%, and facilitate favorable negotiation of union agreement and amendment terms to the companys

benefit (ex: waiver of parttime labor limits).

Service Turnaround: Overhauled the customer experience in San Diego, resulting in raising the customer service rank

from Bottom 10 to Top 10 among 140 sites in <6 months. Developed a multitiered strategic plan which included

redeploying key management resources across all shifts to ensure continuous smooth operations, along with business

process reengineering efforts to streamline the vehicle turnaround process.

Change Management: Key member of international Project Genesis team, tasked with streamlining processes to

identify and eliminate waste in the rental and return processes. Personally developed initiatives to achieve immediate

quick wins of $2M, while also participating in team initiatives leading to an overall savings of over $50M.
