AMPCO is a manufacturer of wood laminate products. The company constructs partitions and flush wood doors to exact specifications. Recently they switched to AutoCAD from AutoSketch, so big part of drawings library had to be updated and part numbering system reorganized to new format. With all that my core duties were:

●Developing plant paperwork : detailed shop drawings and hardware templates for doors and trim details

●Communicating with hardware manufacturers and clients in order to generate correct drawings

●Correcting all revisions made by client in order to achieve total approval of shop drawings

●Designing new forms of internal and external machining sheets

●Maintaining, updating and reorganizing an active electronic library of completed models and drawings

Construction Engineer (Aluminum-Glass Facades) August 2012 – May 2013

Arsenal-A (Facade Technologies) Yekaterinburg, Russia

Arsenal-A wanted a specialist with experience in frame structures, to which their facade elements will be attached, and ability to read all types of engineering drawings. They were designing as well as manufacturing, storing, assembling and installing all their constructions. That’s why my duties in the office required not only CAD engineering skills, but communicating a lot with purchasing department, as well as plant and construction site managers. Overall my main responsibilities included:

●Designing general and detailed drawings of aluminum construction frames supporting glass facades

●Coordinating drawings with architects, designers and clients

●Designing general plans, sections and joints of aluminum constructions for building site workers

●Calculating and ordered the required amount of materials

●Observing the amount of materials and constructions left in the warehouse

●Consulting building site workers

Techno Park is a company designing steel framed buildings, mostly cold-storage constructions (malls, warehouses, plants). I’ve started there as an intern during my last school semester and after that have been hired full-time. With time the area of my responsibilities grew from support of leading engineers to:

●Designing general drawings and joints of steel construction frames (general plans of each floor, sections, framing arched girders) and smaller facade elements

●Calculating the loads on frames, foundations, and in units

●Choosing the size of constructions and steel type based on calculations

●Calculating the required amount of each steel type for producing constructions
