I n 2009, I was employed with Rolls Royce Marine North America as a Service Engineer and was promoted to
Service Superintendent i n 2012. The management overview was to create a competitive service group that will
support the factory all over the globe. I was nominated part of Bergens engine specialist in Americas group of field
service. The main objective is to expand the service availability in the region and will support the entire customer of
Rolls Royce in Diesel/Gas engines across North America. From this period I have had undergone various challenges
i n major works dealings with Crankshaft replacement, main engine block recoveries and replacement of engines in
d ifferent location. I was assigned in Brazil, Canada, Dubai mid-east coastal areas, and Dominican Republic to
support the service demands. I t was recognised as a promising service team for Rolls Royce Marine division and
became competitive everywhere in North America. I t has been successfully managed in achieving the field service
goals because of good outlook and dedication to the responsibilities.
I n 2006, from Wartsila Philippines, I was transferred to Wrtsil North America and served the position
of Senior Service Engineer i n Wrtsil Ft. Lauderdale, FL office. At this stage, I did a supervision works; from
major overhauling on various Wartsila engines and the responsibilities include the assisting of major works; such as
commissioning of newly build engines from Marine and Power plants installations.
I went to different locations to conduct the routine task assigned by my superiors such as, Overseeing
revisions, assisting in auditing customer engines needs and recovery etc.; it was a requirement that will enhance
reliable operations that resulted to progressions. The work f low between the customer & the Wartsila service team
was excellent. I assisted the Field service department in performing various service activities that will develop new
h ires engineers to sustain the customers demand in the field service. At this stage Wartsila North America was a
reliable team for the industry competence. I was involved in the Colorado Gas plant facilities start-up and assisting
t he pre-commissioning comprising several units of 16V32SG & 12V32 SG Wartsila engines. Another part of the
successful achievement was the Installation of 2X9LWartsila 32 in the US ships company. I t was the (Freeport
vessel). We had conducted the completion and start up to satisfy the commissioning responsibilities in support to
t he factory commitment. I was also assigned as lead overhauling engineer in Carnival Cruise Line, Royal
Caribbean Cruise Lines and various customers all over North Americas, including the Caribbean Peninsula.
I had rendered 13 years field service engineer in Wrtsil Philippines and posses strong leadership in major
repair of several engines, such as overhauling of various parts, main crankshaft replacement, and engine block
repairs. The responsibilities include the evaluation of parts subjected for re-machining and other service works.
Supervised critical measurements, alignment of main engine & generators with further commissioning exposure in
t he field service etc.
I travelled to different countries to attain various customer demands in support to the factory engineers,
and to learn as well. The service team succeeded the mission to both Marine and Power plant facilities all over the
globe. In couple of years WPH expanded, in which various challenges went through and we even work on warranty
issues, modifications in support to product factory. I t was a good learning curb that focus our interest in the
engineering designed. For this stage the Wartsila headquarter in Finland occupy more integration with Sulzer,
SWD, and various brands that challenge all service team was a great part of experienced.
Has worked efficiently with different local customer and created a good relation too many of them that
maintain the standing competence of Wartsila Philippines in the Far East region, at this point I was promoted to
Superintendent Engineer and has been designated with higher responsibilities to obtain a promising career. The
t ask comprises, on assisting the Commissioning of newly installed Marine and Power Plant main engines, help train
newly hired engineers and extending support to network neighbours in Singapore region.
Furthermore, I was designated in trouble shooting of mostly Sulzer and Wrtsil engines locally and
overseas, I did explore the experienced and adventure in China, Singapore, / Vietnam/ Brazil /Guam and other part
of North Americas region to work on major repair and Overhauling of different Wrtsil product. I also served as
customer support for branch network service team around the globe. I t was a challenging part of my adventure in
Wartsila business operation.
I was also nominated to assume Consultancy position in Nestle Power Plant to accelerate the facility
requirement in due time and the objectives was to put all their engines back to normal operating condition in 6
months period, as described in the contract agreement.
In 1985, I worked in Shell Refineries and went through different challenges that developed my skills and
confidence in various rotating equipment, Generator sets, and other sources of heavy industries. The company did
gained the highest safety standard in petroleum industry and I went further in the Middle East region to
experienced various equipment, such as upgraded technology of Gas Turbine, Compressors, and various pumps that
resulted to my confidence in doing my task. I t was highly commended technical adventures moving forward.
