CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

I started as a student nurse who had been work in several lying-ins, health centers, hospitals and other affiliations of my institution, I had my extensive experiences in handling a variety of clienteles which may be an individual, families or communities in any health care setting treating them in a holistic approach. As an independent practitioner, I am responsible for promoting health and preventing illness and further complications of my patients. As a member of the health care team, my task is to collaborate with other health care providers for the preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of care.

My duties of being a nurse are not only limited within the scope of nursing but with a kind heart and utmost care that I can give to them, to provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process which I had learned from my course and previous trainings. This is to ensure a good quality service to people and give health education to different age groups with the application of the core competencies and standards in upholding my nursing profession.

For my 3 years of serving in one of the known hospitals in the Philippines, I was assigned in Medical Surgical area for 1 year then decided to be transferred in Radiology area. Presently I am a Radiology Staff Nurse for 2 years, catering ill and well patients for CT and MRI procedures, intravenous insertions for contrast studies, biopsy cases and even assisting in cardiac cathlab procedures. I have been rotating in almost all areas of the hospital as part of the Radiology and this includes: CT scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Breast Clinic, Cardiac Cathlab and Radiotherapy. As observed and encountered, most of my patients are cancer types and continuity of care is imperative.
