Xerox App Studio (Weblet Builder Edition) is a web-based tool for designing and deploying weblet applications to Xerox multifunction devices (MFDs). Weblet are self-contained device extensibility applications, coded in HTML5/JavaScript, which are stored on devices themselves but loaded into and executed within the embedded web browser in the device. App Studio is a browser-based application, and is hosted on the internet (though in principle other deployments are possible). Using App Studio’s browser-based wizard-driven designer, weblet applications for extending MFD functionality can be created with controlled customization and personalization by the user.

This is a complex system with communication set to a large number of other applications. DMS scope extends from Inbound file drops at RDCs up to Outbound uploads to Host.
