Project Description: The client has decided to implement the EAM solution on an ECC instance. This requires them to discontinue around 15 legacy systems and bring their data onto ECC.

Role:

1.Jay is responsible for leading and delivering the design on material master, inventory management, procurement processes and warehouse management

2.He has held multiple high level workshops to explain standard SAP processes as well as gather business requirements

3.He is holding multiple detailed level workshops to provide alternative solutions for each business requirement.

Project: Service Parts migration from Legacy to ECC

Duration: From April 2015 – May 2016

Project Description: The client has decided to migrate SPP related processes from their legacy system to ECC. These processes need to be set up in ECC. Simultaneously, the interfaces between legacy and SPP need to be scrapped and need to be set up between ECC and SPP. Optimum utilization of SPP is in scope of the project. Two plants need their warehouse processes to be switched from legacy systems to ECC.

Responsibilities:

1.Jay was handling all the WM and IM processes on this project. He held client workshops to understand the business requirements and guided the offshore team on the functional specs

2.He configured as well as guided the offshore team on building the prototypes of different scenarios to be shown to the client

3.He also helped in setting up the RF screens with standard as well as custom transactions

4.Jay was responsible for designing the cutover strategy, preparing the cutover plan and provide his expertise on the system landscape with respect to ECC and SPP

5.He ensured that each system was built within the committed deadline so that cutover could start on time.

6.He was responsible for leading the entire team (Business, GIS and Deloitte) through mock cutovers, dress rehearsal and go-live. At the same time he also lead the entire team through unit testing, string testing and 2 rounds of integration testing using HPQC.

Project Description: The client has decided to implement a new SAP ECC6 based decentralized Warehouse Management System (WMS) to support the strategic objective of having its 3 businesses (Merial, Pharma and Vaccines) to operate warehouse processes on one Warehouse Management system. Merial’s warehouse operations have already been transitioned to the new WMS platform. In this phase, the remaining 2 businesses’ warehouse operations will be transitioned on to the common WMS platform.

Responsibilities:

1.Jay was responsible for devising the cutover strategy and the data migration strategy and leading team through mock cutovers, dress rehearsal and final cutover

2.He performed the role of a WM lead wherein he was responsible for designing the inbound processes, outbound processes, the corresponding interfaces and RF transactions (bin replenishment, cycle counting, putaway, picking) and also implementing the solution for interfacing SAP with the pick to voice system

3.He has provided proof of concept SAP demos to the client in order to confirm the process design for majority of the requirements.

4.He was leading a team of offshore consultants and in addition to designing, he was responsible for configuration, writing functional specs, overlooking the functional specs of his team members, conducting unit testing, integration testing and providing support after go-live.

5.He functioned as a one point contact for all the technical resources offshore in order to resolve any functional queries.

Project: SAP implementation for Stock Ledger and Invoice Match processes

Role: Data Lead

Duration: From Feb 2013 – May 2013

Project Description: The client has decided to implement a new SAP Is Retail Solution to support its strategic objectives of running only the Stock Ledger processes and the Invoice Match processes on SAP.

Responsibilities:

1.Jay was responsible to conduct workshops, understand business processes and gather business requirements with respect to article master, vendor master and site master

2.He had to document each business requirement with the decision made and link the same to the process flow designed for each data object.

3.He needed to identify all the necessary fields on Article Master, Vendor Master and Site Master for the stock ledger and invoice match processes to work smoothly

4.He was responsible to write the functional specs for the Article Master, Vendor Master, Site Master, Purchase Info Record and Condition Record conversions & interfaces and provide the data mapping as well as the inbound file format for the same.

5.He has prepare the data conversion strategy, data conversion plan and the MDM strategy

6.He successfully did the prototype and demoed the different retail functional functionalities like generic articles, display sets and sales sets in SAP

Project Description: The client has decided to implement a new SAP ECC6 based decentralized Warehouse Management System (WMS) to support the strategic objective of having its 3 businesses (Merial, Pharma and Vaccines) to operate warehouse processes on one Warehouse Management system. These entities will transition to the new WMS platform starting with Merial business in 2012. Merial has its main ERP system as Oracle which needs to integrate with the WMS.

Responsibilities:

1.He studied the client’s As-Is processes and accordingly suggested the To-Be processes.

2.The To-Be processes were configured in the system and the resulting prototype was demoed to the client.

3.He was responsible for setting up the inbound processes and internal warehouse movements.

4.As a part of setting up the RF technology, he was involved in configuring the RF screens in the system and executing scenarios with the RF transactions. There were also RF development objects identified for which he was required to write RF Functional specs.

5.He was responsible to carry out the mapping of interfaces between Oracle and SAP systems & SAP and Dematic systems.

6.RICEFS were identified and Jay was instrumental in writing the functional specs for the same and submitting to the technical team.

7.Jay volunteered to represent the functional team and act as a primary contact to resolve all offshore queries related to development work.

Project Description: Client has undertaken a global SAP implementation project across several countires. Initially a global template will be created and gradually the same will be localised to meet each country’s requirements.

Responsibilities:

1.Jay has performed the role of a Logistics Consultant. This role included configuring the WM module, as well as being responsible for shipping related activities.

2.He configured the End to End WM process which included

a.Setting up the goods receipt process which including receipting directly as well as receipting against an inbound delivery.

b.Configuring the putaway and picking strategies – This included fixed bin strategy, addition to same storage bin strategy, mixed storage strategy, next empty storage bin strategy, FIFO strategy, Stringent FIFO strategy, LIFO strategy, Shelf Life Expiration Date strategy.

c.Setting up the WM integration with QM,PP and SD

d.Setting up processes related to stock transfers, returns as well as returnable packaging, setting up the basic requirements related to shipping activities and preparing the configuration documents.

e.All the above integrations have been setup run keeping batch, serial numbers and revision numbers in perspective.

f.Configuring the physical inventory processes. These included running Annual as well as Continuous Inventory processes keeping Cycle Counting and Zero check in perspective.

g.As a part of setting up the RF technology, he was involved in configuring the RF screens in the system and running scenarios with the RF transactions.

Project Description: Diageo has undertaken a global SAP implementation project. The current SAP rollout is in India.

Responsibilities:

1.To work in capacity of a Diageo employee and be responsible for Procurement to Pay processes (demand and supply) and related reporting

2.To study the global BSDs and BPOs and customize them to suit the Indian market and provide inputs on developments and configurations wherever required.

3.To act as an advisor on improvements in current business processes and customize the global master data template as per the Indian scenarios.

4.To work out all the permutations and combinations possible in order to fix the final purchase pricing structure.

5.To identify gaps in global processes with reference to the Indian market and suggest required modifications in the global document layouts, smart forms to accommodate the Indian requirements.

Project Description: EKC wanted to implement SAP ECC as its ERP system across India and Dubai.

Responsibilities:

1.Mapping the To-Be processes in tandem with the client.

2.Configured MM organizational structure like creation & assignment of company, company code, plant, storage locations & purchase organization. Apart from the standard movement types, new movement types were created

3.Configuring the MM related processes (purchasing, goods receipt, invoice verification, subcontracting, services, pricing procedures), CIN tax and preparing the configuration documents

Project Description: Currently BHRL is using Shopers as a front end and back end solution. They are introducing SAP IS Retail as their back end solution now. However in the beginning they would like to integrate SAP with Shopers. Gradually they plan to shift from Shopers to SAP Triversity.

Ltd. who is managing this project has employed PricewaterhouseCoopers India to implement the above model in Nilgiris Bangalore Business region.

Project: SAP IS Retail Rollout Project

Role: Is-Retail Consultant

Project Description: Spencer’s Retail runs their business on SAP IS Retail (ECC 6.0) in the back end. Spencer’s uses custom POS software (UPOS) as its front-end POS solution. On one hand all the Purchasing/logistics activities are performed in the SAP ISR back end, while on the other hand, sales data is cumulated in the UPOS system. Once the day of business is over, this data is posted into the SAP ISR back end via IDocs to facilitate reporting. Spencer’s employed PricewaterhouseCoopers India to roll out the above model in its Mumbai business region.
