I answered all the emails to our Manager regarding any questions or concerns he had. I was responsible to put up a daily schedule to assign everyone to their designated area to fully clean. I handled all paperwork including temp employees hours, MSS (Mater Sanitation Sheet), Daily CIP Schedule, ATP Swabs and Allergens . I also trained CIP (cleaning in place) after I learned a line I would train and observe a team member to correctly do the job. I dealt with Chemicals; Caustic, Acid, Sanitizer, Chloride 50, Force 9, and Foam. I also used a pressure washer hose to cleaned tanks that hold about 3500 lbs., small tanks and augers. I did inspections to make sure all tanks and kettles were cleaned correctly leaving NO residue behind and to be Audit ready. I made sure all chemicals were labeled and buckets as there were used. I was to give a safety video of LOTO (lockout tagout) and Safety gear (glasses, gloves, aprons, and non slip boots). When CIP was in progress I would check concentration of Caustic, Chlorine, and Acid using a testing kit for each chemical. After completing CIP I would then have a sample of the last rinse and test the water with an ATP swab to make she the line is ready to run production with no bacteria. I also tested the water for Allergens. I also completed the Environmental swabs every Sunday along with valve inspection from different lines. I would inspect a valve to make sure all the gasket were good and not torn and fully cleaned. I was in charge of Swabbing conveyors and augers for Strawberry season in a different plant to inspect the plant to be ready to run on time with no trash or strawberries on the ground. I was in training for SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure) to fully understand and visually learn and properly train new employees. When USDA came to visited the plant I would walk with them to see what needs to get retouch or recleaned, I am familiar with what a USDA is looking for.

My duties consisted of using pressure washer hoses to clean conveyors, hoppers, tanks, and pipes. I myself with a co-worker would bring down the conveyors and put them back up including pipes and valves. I used chemicals Force 9, Sanitizer, Acid Chloride 50, and Foam. I followed all safety procedures using glasses, gloves, and water resistant suit. I also trained new employees on cleaning properly and mixing chemicals using PH testing strips. I made sure all my team members understood every duty and followed safety requirements. I was assigned to be Lead of the sanitation crew when Manager or Supervisor was absent. As Lead I made sure everything was ready to operate on time, including APT swabs of all machinery and equipment that had to be swabbed. I was in charge of environmental swabs when needed. I helped Supervisor with USDA, FDA and MSS standards and helped assigned team members to a designated area to be correctly cleaned and pass inspections at all times. I used LOTO when cleaning machinery and or if needed repair. I did inspections all around the facility with a QC present to be sure the facility was ready to run. I also completed final inspection to be sure everything was put away chemicals, rags, spray bottles and to be lock back up.
